Consultant Radiology – Breast Imaging

About the role

The Consultant Radiology (Breast Imaging) will lead high‑quality, evidence‑based patient care, diagnosing, managing and treating patients within the breast imaging specialty. The role includes clinical leadership, supervision of junior staff, and participation in departmental performance and quality initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee clinical activities of junior medical staff and ensure safe, effective patient care.
• Lead ward rounds, review investigations, modify treatment plans, and document clinical information promptly.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, provide out‑of‑hours on‑call coverage, and liaise with other specialties.
• Support hospital policies, resource utilization, and quality‑improvement programs, including audits and incident reporting.
• Promote education, supervise junior staff, and engage in continued medical education and research.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years post‑board certification experience as a consultant (Tier 1) or 8 years full‑time consultant experience (Tier 2).
• For UAE nationals, clinical fellowship in an accredited program may count double for experience.
• Board certification in Radiology with subspecialty training in Breast Imaging.
