Consultant / Specialist Medical Oncologist – Dubai, UAE

About the role

A leading tertiary‑care hospital in Dubai is expanding its oncology services and seeks a qualified Medical Oncologist to join a multidisciplinary cancer care team. The role involves delivering comprehensive oncology care in a modern hospital equipped with advanced diagnostics and infusion services.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage patients with various malignancies, including solid tumours and selected haematologic cancers.
• Develop and implement individualised treatment plans using chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy and hormonal therapy.
• Administer and monitor systemic cancer treatments, ensuring safe and effective delivery of chemotherapy protocols.
• Participate in tumour board meetings and multidisciplinary case discussions to optimise patient outcomes.
• Manage treatment‑related toxicities and provide patient education and counselling.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 + years post‑specialist or board certification experience in medical oncology.
• Recognised oncology specialist qualification (e.g., American Board of Internal Medicine – Medical Oncology, UK CCT/MRCP/FRCP, European Board, Arab Board, etc.).
• Eligibility for DOH/DHA/MOH licensing in the UAE.

Required skills

• Proficiency in systemic therapy administration (chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, hormonal therapy).
• Ability to assess treatment response and adjust management according to clinical guidelines.
• Experience with multidisciplinary team collaboration and tumour board participation.
