Consultant Spine Surgeon – Western Qualification (UK, US, Irish)

About the role

A government hospital in the UAE seeks an experienced Consultant Spine Surgeon to deliver comprehensive surgical care for complex spinal disorders. The role involves managing degenerative, traumatic and intricate spinal conditions and performing advanced procedures within a multidisciplinary environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and treat patients with complex spinal and musculoskeletal conditions.
• Perform elective and emergency spinal surgeries, including advanced cervical, thoracic and lumbar procedures.
• Manage spinal trauma, postoperative complications and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Collaborate with neurosurgeons, orthopaedic specialists, radiologists, physiotherapists and other team members.

Required profile

• Medical degree with a recognized Western postgraduate qualification (UK CCT/CCST, American Board, Irish, Canadian, Australian, New Zealand or equivalent).
• Consultant‑level experience in spine surgery, including complex cases and spinal trauma.
• Fellowship training in spine surgery is highly desirable.
• Experience in a tertiary, multispecialty or leading private hospital.
