Consultant Surgical Oncologist (American Board/UK CCT)

About the role

SearchPlus HR is recruiting a highly qualified Consultant Surgical Oncologist to join a leading healthcare institution in the UAE. The role focuses on delivering advanced surgical care for patients with cancer and complex oncological conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized surgical treatment plans.
• Perform complex and minimally invasive oncological procedures across gastrointestinal, breast, hepatobiliary, colorectal and other cancer sites.
• Provide pre‑operative, intra‑operative and post‑operative care, managing complications and ensuring optimal recovery.
• Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and collaborate with medical, radiation, radiology and pathology teams.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to patient safety and quality standards.

Required profile

• Recognised American Board, UK CCT or equivalent Western postgraduate qualification in Surgical Oncology or a related surgical specialty.
• Minimum five years of post‑specialisation experience in surgical oncology.
• Proven track record of performing complex cancer surgeries and managing oncology patients.
• Strong clinical decision‑making and peri‑operative management abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills within a multidisciplinary cancer care environment.
