Corporate Senior Associate

About the role

Hogan Lovells Cadwalader is recruiting a Corporate Senior Associate for its Corporate and Finance practice group in Dubai. The practice covers the full range of corporate and M&A work, including public and private M&A, joint ventures, strategic alliances, restructurings and complex commercial arrangements, for domestic UK and cross-border clients across all industry sectors. Working hours are 40 hours per week, 9am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, with additional hours possibly required.

Key responsibilities

• Apply good working knowledge of the legal principles behind corporate and M&A work, and keep up with legal developments by attending regular training
• Manage projects with strong organisation and project management skills, meeting deadlines and delivering to high quality standards
• Act as a source of advice to colleagues, share knowledge and take ownership of project issues
• Work cost-effectively, keeping track of budgets, costs and time recording
• Build and maintain client relationships, showing commercial awareness of clients' drivers and the risks and opportunities in their sectors
• Take an active role in managing the firm's reputation and supporting community engagement

Required profile

• Minimum 2.1 degree with a strong academic background
• Excellent written communication and drafting skills
• Outstanding technical skills and ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues
• Reliable, flexible and resilient under pressure, with good time management and attention to detail
• Proactive about career development, seeking performance feedback and addressing skills gaps
• Regional experience in a top-tier firm is preferred
