Cost Control Engineer - MEP

About the role

Innovo Group is looking for a Cost Control Engineer for its MEP projects in Dubai. The role monitors and controls project costs by tracking actual expenditure against approved budgets and producing timely cost reports to support project management decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Track and analyse project costs against approved budgets on a weekly and monthly basis, identify variances and escalate significant deviations to the Cost Control Team Leader.
• Prepare monthly cost reports, cost-at-completion forecasts and variance analyses, and maintain cost databases with correctly coded transactions.
• Prepare project cash flow forecasts, track actual spend versus forecast and highlight cash flow risks and funding gaps.
• Assist in setting up project budgets and cost baselines, and liaise with QS, procurement and finance to ensure accurate cost data.
• Track approved variations, update cost baselines and verify that change order impacts are captured in cost reports.
• Introduce modern tools, technologies and processes that improve efficiency and transparency, and encourage innovation to reduce costs without compromising quality.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance or Quantity Surveying.
• Minimum 4-6 years of cost control experience in MEP or construction.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel skills; ERP proficiency preferred.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills.
