Cost Management Accountant

About the role

A deep-tech intelligence holding company with multiple business units and acquisitions is hiring two Junior Cost and Accounting Engineers in Dubai. The title is chosen because the role is not a traditional accounting or financial reporting position: it treats cost management as an engineering discipline, building and governing how costs are captured, allocated, analysed and controlled. One role sits in the Technology function, the other in the Commercial function, with future opportunities to support acquisition-related cost structures.

Key responsibilities

• Build cost allocation frameworks from scratch within your embedded function
• Manage overhead allocations from HQ across business units
• Track project-wise cost allocations, direct and indirect costs
• Produce accurate, timely budget reports for your service line
• Identify and fix miscoded, duplicated or untracked costs
• Give leadership real-time cost visibility, not retrospective reporting
• One role will eventually move into acquisitions integration

Required profile

• CMA qualification or active study toward it (primary signal on a CV)
• Experience in a tech company, portfolio company or multi-entity group
• Has built cost models and allocation frameworks from scratch, not just inherited ones
• Technically rigorous, proactive, able to work embedded in a non-finance function
