Credit Controller

About the role

The Credit Controller at OBT Group supports efficient operations and growth by managing outstanding debts, working closely with clients, and maintaining strong customer relations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full accounts receivable portfolio across Group & FZCO entities, ensuring timely collection of invoices.
• Monitor ageing reports, drive collection activities, negotiate payment arrangements and escalate overdue accounts to meet cash‑flow targets.
• Prepare and present credit control KPIs, aged receivables, collection performance and debtor day metrics in regular meetings.
• Collaborate with Operations, Shipping, Logistics and regional teams to resolve disputes and improve collection outcomes.
• Maintain and enhance credit control processes, internal controls and reporting to ensure policy compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business management or a related field.
• 2‑5 years experience in credit control, accounts receivable or collections, preferably within the UAE market.
• Demonstrated ability to build strong commercial relationships and excellent negotiation skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Knowledge of payment plans and accounting procedures.
