About the role
The Cut List & BOM Specialist will generate precise cutting lists and Bills of Materials for a variety of wood and laminate components, ensuring optimal material usage and alignment with production standards.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare millimeter‑accurate manual or software‑driven cutting lists and BOMs for MDF, plywood, solid wood, veneer, and laminates.
- Review sales designs, shop drawings, and architectural blueprints to verify feasibility and compliance.
- Use nesting and optimization software to maximize yield and minimize waste on raw material sheets.
- Specify hardware tolerances, edge‑banding details, drilling holes, and custom CNC routes.
- Coordinate with factory supervisors and assembly carpenters to resolve technical discrepancies before manufacturing.
Required profile
- Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret technical drawings.
- Experience working with material cutting processes in a manufacturing environment.
Required skills
- Proficiency with nesting and optimization software.
- Knowledge of CNC routing and hardware specification.
