Data Governance Specialist

About the role

BlackStone eIT seeks a dedicated Data Governance Specialist to ensure data assets are well‑managed, secure, and compliant with regulations. The role involves leading governance initiatives and collaborating across departments.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain data governance frameworks and policies.
• Ensure compliance with data protection and privacy laws such as GDPR and CCPA.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define data ownership and responsibilities.
• Monitor data quality metrics and support remediation efforts.
• Facilitate training and communication to promote data governance awareness.
• Support audits and assessments related to data governance.
• Utilize data governance tools to manage metadata and data lineage.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Data Management, or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in data governance or related disciplines.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders across the organization.

Required skills

• Knowledge of data governance frameworks and data quality processes.
• Familiarity with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
• Experience with data governance tools for metadata and data lineage management.
