Data Migration Consultant (ETL & Data Engineer)

About the role

A large-scale digital transformation program is looking for an ETL & Data Engineer to build, run and maintain the data pipelines, platforms and datasets that underpin it. The role combines hands-on ETL analysis with data engineering and covers data migration, ETL and data integration, data platform engineering and data analytics and BI enablement. Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and run ETL/ELT pipelines, extracting data from SAP ERP, Salesforce, operational support systems and external sources, and map source structures to target models
• Plan and execute migration of master and transactional data to SAP S/4HANA, Salesforce and Proaxia, including validation, reconciliation and cutover support
• Build and maintain the enterprise data platform (warehouse, lake or lakehouse), data models and pipeline frameworks, with CI/CD, version control and security controls
• Prepare datasets and semantic models for reporting, support dashboards in Power BI and SAP Analytics Cloud, and define KPIs and data marts
• Run data quality checks, reconcile data across systems and maintain data lineage, dictionaries and metadata
• Document ETL processes, mappings and platform designs, and support the ETL Lead in setting standards and hypercare after go-live

Required profile

• 5-8 years in ETL development, data integration or data engineering roles
• Proven delivery of ETL/ELT pipelines and strong SQL and relational database skills
• Hands-on experience in at least one enterprise data migration or system integration project
• Knowledge of data warehousing and dimensional modelling, scripting in Python (or similar), and experience preparing datasets for BI tools
• Nice to have: SAP and Salesforce data experience, Azure Data Factory, Informatica, Talend, Azure Synapse, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks or Snowflake, Airflow, Git, CI/CD, Power BI modelling (DAX, Power Query), and GCC digital transformation experience
