Digital Technology Director

About the role

Create is a digital creative communications agency, part of the Stagwell network, working with government, culture and tourism clients. It is looking for a Digital Technology Director to be the senior technology authority across its digital experience practice, reporting to the Head of DX. The role leads architecture, engineering, QA automation, DevOps and AI enablement behind web, app, CMS and platform builds, and helps set technology standards across the wider group. It is a hands-on leadership position based in Dubai or Abu Dhabi, full time and onsite from Q4 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Act as senior technical partner to client IT, data and product teams, leading discovery, architecture definition, integration strategy and solution workshops
• Set and maintain standards across CMS, frameworks, cloud infrastructure, APIs, analytics, hosting and deployment, with governance for DevSecOps, documentation and risk
• Drive automation across CI/CD, regression testing, QA and environment management, and build reusable frameworks and component libraries
• Lead technical scoping, estimation and risk evaluation on new and existing business
• Select, onboard and manage development, cloud, AI and infrastructure partners
• Pilot AI, composable and headless architecture, and guide clients and developers on responsible use of AI
• Mentor engineering and delivery teams and help hire and grow technical talent

Required profile

• 10+ years in technology leadership at digital agencies, consultancies or technology-led organisations, covering cloud architecture, engineering, DevOps and QA automation
• Track record of owning technical governance and vendor relationships across multiple accounts or brands
• Ability to explain technical trade-offs as clear business implications for C-suite stakeholders
• Professional fluency in English; Arabic is a plus
• Menat market experience preferred
