About the role
The Demi Chef de Partie will prepare and cook meals, ensure quality and presentation, and support kitchen operations at the Counter Culture Café.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare special meals and substitute items according to recipes, quality and presentation standards.
- Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills and roasters.
- Pull food from freezer storage to thaw in the refrigerator and maintain food logs.
- Ensure proper portioning, arrangement, garnish and monitor food quality and quantity.
- Communicate menu specials, out‑of‑stock items and excess food to service staff.
- Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating and coaching employees.
- Follow safety, security and company policies, report maintenance needs and maintain a professional appearance.
- Perform physical tasks such as standing for extended periods and lifting up to 25 lb.
Required profile
- Technical, trade or vocational school degree.
- Minimum three years of relevant kitchen experience.
- No prior supervisory experience required.
- No specific license or certification required.
