Demi Chef de Partie – Korean Specialty

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Demi Chef de Partie to join our Korean specialty kitchen at JW Marriott Dubai. The role involves preparing high‑quality Korean dishes, supporting the Chef, and ensuring consistent food safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare special Korean meals and substitute items according to recipes and presentation standards.
• Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills and roasters, and monitor food quality and quantity.
• Thaw frozen items in refrigeration, maintain food logs, and ensure proper portioning and garnish.
• Communicate with service staff about menu specials, out‑of‑stock items and daily specials.
• Assist in hiring, training, scheduling and coaching kitchen staff as needed.
• Follow all safety, security and company policies, reporting any hazards or incidents.

Required profile

• Technical or vocational culinary education.
• Minimum three years of relevant kitchen experience, preferably in Korean cuisine.
• No prior supervisory experience required.

Required skills

• Proficiency in operating ovens, grills and roasters.
• Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene and portion control.
• Ability to prepare both hot and cold dishes accurately.
