Demi Chef de Partie - Pastry / Bakery

About the role

A hotel in Dubai is looking for a Demi Chef de Partie Pastry to join its culinary team and help create pastries, desserts and baked goods that please guests and reflect international culinary trends. The role supports the Pastry Chef and works closely with the pastry team.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Pastry Chef in preparing a wide range of high-quality pastries, desserts and baked goods
• Follow recipes accurately while keeping consistency and quality standards
• Develop new and innovative dessert concepts with the pastry team
• Ensure proper storage, handling and rotation of ingredients and finished products
• Maintain a clean, organised workspace and follow food safety and hygiene standards
• Help with inventory management and ordering of pastry supplies
• Train and mentor junior pastry staff
• Take part in menu planning and development meetings
• Adapt recipes to different dietary restrictions and allergies

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Pastry Cook or in a similar role in a professional kitchen
• Culinary degree or diploma focused on pastry arts preferred
• Current food safety certification
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
• Strong English; additional languages are a plus
• Adaptability to a multicultural environment
