Demi Chef de Partie - Pastry

About the role

The Demi Chef de Partie – Pastry will support the pastry kitchen of Four Points by Sheraton in Sharjah, preparing a range of hot and cold desserts to the hotel’s quality and presentation standards. This full‑time, onsite role reports to the Pastry Chef and contributes to daily service excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and bake pastries, desserts and cold foods according to established recipes.
• Regulate oven, broiler, grill and roaster temperatures and ensure proper equipment use.
• Pull frozen items for thawing, maintain accurate food logs and monitor portion control.
• Communicate menu specials, out‑of‑stock items and excess food usage to service staff and the Chef.
• Assist with inventory checks, report maintenance needs and uphold safety and hygiene policies.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational qualification in pastry or culinary arts.
• Minimum three years of relevant pastry experience in a hotel or similar setting.
• No prior supervisory experience required.
