About the role
Le Meridien is seeking a motivated Demi Chef De Partie to join the staff cafeteria team in Dubai. The role involves preparing ingredients, cooking meals, and maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation for cafeteria service.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, washing, peeling, weighing, measuring and mixing according to recipes.
- Cook and assemble hot and cold dishes, operating ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers.
- Test food for doneness, monitor quality throughout preparation and ensure proper portioning and presentation.
- Set up and break down work stations, maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, tools, knives and equipment.
- Check and record temperature of appliances and food, and follow safety and security policies.
Required profile
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- At least 1 year of related kitchen or food‑service experience.
- No supervisory experience required.
Required skills
- Operating ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers.
- Food preparation techniques such as portioning, chopping, measuring and mixing.
