Department Manager - Retail

About the role

Apparel Group is hiring a Department Manager in Dubai. The role ensures retail staff deliver high-quality customer service and have the skills and support needed to maximise sales, and assists the Store Manager in running the store efficiently and profitably in line with company policy. It also covers end-to-end store responsibility when the Store Manager is absent.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure retail staff can provide the highest level of customer service and maximise sales.
• Assist the Store Manager in implementing operating procedures and ensuring staff follow brand and company policies.
• Promote the Club Apparel Loyalty Program to drive repeat sales.
• Audit store administration regularly and resolve issues; manage daily rosters, leave and grievances of retail staff.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards and keep the store secure at all times.
• Keep up to date on new products, trends and fashion directives, and on the group's brands, to anticipate customer needs and suggest products.
• Provide feedback to the Store Manager and Area Manager on employees and products.
• Take full store responsibility in the absence of the Store Manager.

Required profile

• Fashionable, well-groomed and with up-to-date product knowledge to minimise stock loss.
• Physically fit to stand for long hours and lift heavy items.
