Department Manager – Women/Men (Luxury Retail)

About the role

The Department Manager supports the Boutique Manager in leading the Women or Men department of The Grove boutique, ensuring the achievement of sales targets, client development, operational excellence and adherence to Christian Dior visual standards. Acting as a brand ambassador, the role combines leadership, HR oversight, loss-prevention and inventory control to drive employee engagement and a premium client experience.

Key responsibilities

• Lead sales and operations for the assigned product category, consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Develop and execute client-development and CRM initiatives to grow top-client relationships.
• Monitor KPIs, implement action plans, and drive performance improvements when standards are not met.
• Oversee inventory accuracy, set quantitative targets and ensure loss-prevention procedures are followed.
• Manage HR functions including recruitment, coaching, performance appraisals and fostering a high-performing team.
• Maintain Christian Dior visual standards and enforce all company policies, security and operational procedures.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of luxury retail experience with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
• Strong commercial creativity, fashion sensitivity and deep knowledge of the luxury industry.
• Proven ability to work varied hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational and management skills.
