Department Manager - Women's Ready-to-Wear

About the role

Chalhoub Group is looking for a passionate, commercially driven and client-centric Department Manager for Women's Ready-to-Wear at Tryano, a luxury fashion brand. The role suits an experienced luxury retail leader who thrives on the shop floor, leads by example and inspires teams to deliver exceptional client experiences. Beyond sales and operations, you will help elevate the client journey, develop a high-performing team and foster a culture of engagement and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and inspire a team of Fashion Consultants, maintaining high performance and accountability
• Maintain a strong presence on the shop floor and support the team in delivering excellent service
• Challenge existing ways of working, encourage proactive client engagement and empower the team to exceed expectations
• Identify development opportunities, provide ongoing coaching and ensure consistent service and performance standards
• Drive sales performance, conversion and client loyalty through proactive engagement and relationship building
• Analyze sales reports, monitor KPIs and identify commercial opportunities; proactively solve day-to-day commercial challenges
• Partner with Buying and Visual Merchandising teams to optimise assortment, stock movement and presentation, and give feedback to Buyers
• Oversee daily department operations and champion a client-first approach

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Department Manager or equivalent retail leadership role in luxury fashion
• Strong product knowledge of Women's Ready-to-Wear and/or Leather Goods
• Demonstrated success leading, coaching and developing large retail teams
• Hands-on, floor-focused leadership style with the ability to motivate and influence
• Flexibility to work across retail shifts, including weekends

• Commercial acumen: analysing sales performance, managing KPIs and spotting growth opportunities
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
