Deputy Director, Advanced Technology Department

About the role

The Abu Dhabi Accountability Authority is looking for a Deputy Director of its Advanced Technology Department in Abu Dhabi. The role leads and oversees the end-to-end operations of the Infrastructure and Smart Applications sections, keeping IT infrastructure, networks, systems and applications available, reliable and secure in line with approved SLAs and cybersecurity standards.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure continuous availability, reliability and security of infrastructure, networks, systems and smart applications according to approved SLAs and cybersecurity standards.
• Integrate infrastructure capabilities with application requirements for seamless performance, scalability and interoperability.
• Oversee business continuity, disaster recovery, backup management and resilience planning, including periodic testing and reporting.
• Monitor performance through KPIs and service metrics, and govern change and release management to control deployment risk.
• Lead incident response and major issue resolution, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Supervise user support, system training and adoption initiatives, and prepare operational reports for executive leadership.
• Manage vendor performance, technology controls and service agreements, and ensure compliance with governance, cybersecurity, data protection and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject; a Master's degree is preferred.
• Proficiency in Arabic; proficiency in both Arabic and English is preferred.
• Professional certifications such as CompTIA or PMP are preferred.
• Strong leadership, analytical and decision-making skills, with a collaborative and proactive approach.
