Design Engineer – Automotive Sheet Metal (Dubai)

About the role

We are looking for a Design Engineer specialized in automotive sheet metal to join our manufacturing team in Dubai. The role involves creating high‑quality components for vehicle assemblies, ensuring compliance with design standards and customer specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop automotive parts, components and sheet‑metal assemblies using CATIA and SolidWorks.
• Create 3D models, 2D detailed drawings and Bills of Materials (BOM) according to company standards.
• Apply sheet‑metal design, fabrication and manufacturing knowledge to ensure DFM and DFA.
• Perform basic design calculations and interpret complex drawings and tolerances.
• Coordinate with production and quality teams for prototype development and approval.
• Modify designs to achieve cost reduction and quality improvement.
• Maintain design documentation, drawings and records.
• Support new product development (NPD) and design change initiatives.

Required profile

• Diploma, B.E. or B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 1‑2 years of experience as a Design Engineer in automotive sheet‑metal design.
• Proficiency in both CATIA and SolidWorks.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T, engineering materials and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to read and interpret complex drawings and tolerances.
• Currently residing in Dubai and available for immediate joining.
