DevOps Engineer – Remote, United Arab Emirates

About the role

We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to join a fully remote, international engineering team based in the United Arab Emirates. You will build and maintain reliable, scalable infrastructure while modernising existing systems and strengthening a security‑focused product ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain backend infrastructure and services, including API gateways and load balancers.
• Develop product features from design through testing and deployment.
• Investigate and resolve complex technical issues in code, systems, and production environments.
• Operate large‑scale server infrastructure and high‑throughput data pipelines.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines to enable automated, reliable software delivery.
• Create and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure code quality.
• Monitor production performance, identify improvement opportunities, and enhance reliability.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on architecture, technical direction, and system maintainability.
• Support infrastructure modernisation by reducing technical debt and simplifying processes.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps, backend development, or a related technical role.
• Strong proficiency in at least one high‑level programming language.
• Proven experience designing and operating scalable, high‑performance backend services.
• Hands‑on experience with high‑throughput data pipelines (e.g., Apache Kafka, ClickHouse, RabbitMQ).
• Experience with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL and in‑memory databases.
