Director, Commercial Payments – Government Solutions (CEMEA)

About the role

Visa Government Solutions is looking for a regional Director to lead the commercial payments agenda across the CEMEA region. The role will help governments and public‑sector organisations modernise procurement, travel, fleet, employee benefits and lending payment flows, positioning Visa as the preferred G2B partner.

Key responsibilities

• Drive regional growth for Visa Government‑to‑Business (G2B) commercial payment solutions in partnership with VGS sales teams.
• Develop and own segment and vertical strategies that leverage Visa capabilities, enhanced propositions and external partnerships.
• Identify product, software and capability gaps with the Global Head of Commercial Payments and build prioritisation cases.
• Shape two‑sided go‑to‑market strategies for government buyers and industry sellers to increase Visa revenue.
• Evaluate and manage external commercial enabler partnerships such as technology providers, marketplaces, ERPs, system integrators and e‑invoicing providers.
• Work with local, regional and global teams to resolve solution, pricing, rules, regulatory or acceptance challenges.

Required profile

• 12+ years of experience in commercial cards, B2B payments, commercial issuing or related payment solutions.
• Proven background in a card scheme, global issuer, travel or ERP platform, B2B fintech or payments technology provider.
• Deep knowledge of the global payments industry with strong regional market understanding for CEMEA.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders, build internal networks and translate complex payment concepts into clear commercial narratives.
• Experience developing strategies across multiple markets within a regional or matrixed global organisation.
