Director Entertainment Technology

About the role

The Director Entertainment Technology leads the technology strategy for Majid Al Futtaim's entertainment portfolio, bridging business goals with innovative tech solutions to enhance customer experiences and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the technology roadmap aligned with entertainment business objectives.
• Partner with entertainment leadership and OpCo executives to translate business needs into technology capabilities.
• Own and prioritize the entertainment technology portfolio, ensuring projects deliver value, stay within budget, and meet quality standards.
• Drive improvements in ticketing, booking, CRM, digital signage, loyalty and visitor engagement platforms.
• Oversee enterprise and entertainment‑specific architecture, guaranteeing secure, scalable, and integrated systems.
• Manage critical IT operations and end‑user support across venues to ensure high availability and business continuity.
• Lead application management for cinema and entertainment platforms, including upgrades, testing, training and performance optimisation.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to accelerate digital transformation and commercial growth.

Required profile

• 15+ years of technology leadership experience, preferably in entertainment, hospitality, retail or customer‑facing environments.
• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders, lead cross‑functional teams and manage complex technology portfolios.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business or related field.
• Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, ITIL or TOGAF are highly preferred.
