Director of Design and Technical Services

About the role

Lead the planning, coordination and delivery of new‑build, takeover and renovation projects for luxury hotel and resort brands across the IMEAT region. You will act as the regional point of contact for owners, designers and consultants, ensuring design excellence from concept to handover.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee end‑to‑end design management of hotel and resort projects, ensuring compliance with brand standards and operational requirements.
• Coordinate with owners, consultants and internal stakeholders to review and align design documentation, from concept through construction drawings.
• Conduct site visits, design review meetings and provide strategic recommendations in written reports.
• Maintain accurate project records, interior design trackers and reporting tools.
• Manage project budgets, timelines and risk mitigation, presenting status updates to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Exceptional design sense with extensive experience in architectural detailing for hospitality projects.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet critical deadlines.
• Deep understanding of hotel and resort interior design across rooms, food & beverage, public areas and meeting spaces.

Required skills

• Architectural planning and design in a hospitality context.
• Design documentation (concept, schematic, design development, construction drawings).
• Collaboration with interior designers, architects, lighting consultants and suppliers.
