Director of Interior Design – Real Estate & Asset Development

About the role

The Director – Interior Design will lead the creation and implementation of interior design concepts for Al‑Futtaim Real Estate projects, from early concept through construction documentation. This senior position provides both creative vision and technical oversight to ensure high‑quality, brand‑aligned interiors across residential, hospitality and mixed‑use developments.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the interior design function across all project phases, managing multiple concurrent projects with a clear, coherent design process.
• Develop and maintain interior design brand standards, guidelines, and technical specifications for FF&E and OS&E.
• Define design scope, negotiate design agreements and contracts, and control design costs.
• Oversee on‑site observations during construction to verify compliance with design intent and quality standards.
• Represent Al‑Futtaim Real Estate in meetings reviewing design proposals, contracts and mock‑ups, and monitor departmental KPIs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in high‑end residential or hospitality projects, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of applicable standards, regulations and procedures.
• Proven ability to manage design teams and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
