Director of Operations

About the role

This senior leadership position reports directly to the CEO of a growing, government‑backed organisation in Ras Al Khaimah. The Director of Operations will shape and strengthen key operational functions, ensuring efficiency and compliance with UAE regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee core operational functions across the organisation, including government relations, HR, legal, compliance, licensing and internal processes.
• Develop and implement operational frameworks, policies, SOPs and end‑to‑end processes to improve cross‑functional collaboration.
• Manage senior relationships with government entities, regulators, partners and key stakeholders.
• Oversee licensing, registration, compliance and governance activities, ensuring alignment with UAE regulatory requirements.
• Drive service delivery improvements through process optimisation and technology‑enabled workflows, establishing KPIs and performance dashboards.
• Identify and mitigate operational risks while building and leading high‑performing teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Law, Public Policy or a related discipline.
• 8+ years of progressive operational leadership experience, preferably within a government entity, free zone, regulatory authority or similarly complex organisation.
• Strong understanding of the UAE regulatory and government landscape.
• Proven ability to manage multiple functions and cross‑functional teams.
