Director of Physical Education (2026/27)

About the role

We are seeking an outstanding Director of Physical Education to lead the PE department at Noya British School for the academic year 2026/2027. The role involves shaping the department’s vision, policies and teaching standards in line with the school’s commitment to high achievement.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement department policies that reflect the school’s vision and high standards of achievement.
• Establish, monitor and evaluate short‑, medium‑ and long‑term development plans for the department.
• Use data to identify under‑achieving students and create action plans to support them.
• Analyse school data, research and inspection evidence to inform curriculum and teaching practices.
• Ensure schemes of work are in place for all year groups, including provision for SEN, G&T and EAL students.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related subject with a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Minimum six years’ experience teaching the English National Curriculum.
• Experience working with students for whom English is not their first language.
• Clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
• Commitment to the school’s values and to safeguarding children.
