Drama English Teacher – August 2026

About the role

Aldar Education is seeking an enthusiastic Drama English Teacher for Al Rayana Charter School, an American‑curriculum primary school in Abu Dhabi, starting August 2026. The role involves delivering high‑quality drama and English lessons that inspire creativity and academic success.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging drama and English lessons that inspire students and meet the American curriculum requirements.
• Plan, prepare and present sessions for a full ability range, using classroom resources, displays and assessments.
• Collaborate with colleagues, curriculum support staff and external professionals such as speech‑language therapists to support student development.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school’s policy and maintain positive relationships with pupils, parents and staff.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject with a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
• At least 1–2 years of teaching experience, preferably with learners for whom English is an additional language.
• Commitment to the school’s values, high professional standards and the well‑being of children.
• Clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) or police check.

Required skills

• Proficiency in using assessment tools such as Target Tracker.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
