Duty Manager – Hotel Operations

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Duty Manager to lead daily hotel operations at Sofitel Al Hamra Beach Resort in Ras Al‑Khaimah, UAE. The role ensures seamless service delivery across all departments, handles guest issues with empathy, and supports a high‑performing team during assigned shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and support operational teams across all departments, providing coaching and mentorship.
• Lead daily operations during shifts, responding promptly to operational needs and crisis situations.
• Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints, ensuring timely and satisfactory resolution.
• Conduct team briefings and departmental meetings to communicate updates, policies, and procedures.
• Monitor and analyze operational metrics, revenue reconciliation, and financial procedures.
• Coordinate with all hotel departments to ensure integrated guest experiences.
• Assist with roster preparation, scheduling, and labor budget efficiency.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance development initiatives.

Required profile

• Diploma in Hospitality Management, Business Administration or related field (preferred).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in hospitality operations, hotel management or similar environment.
• Proven shift management and team supervision experience in a fast‑paced setting.
• Strong analytical, crisis‑management and financial acumen.
• Ability to work flexible 24/7 roster schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Property Management Systems (PMS) and hotel operational software.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and the Microsoft Office suite.
