EAL & MFL Teacher (Maternity Cover) – Immediate Start

About the role

Cranleigh Abu Dhabi is seeking a passionate and dynamic Teacher for English as an Additional Language (EAL) and Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) to cover a maternity leave immediately. The role is based on the state‑of‑the‑art campus on Saadiyat Island and includes contribution to the school’s vibrant co‑curricular programme.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver outstanding teaching and learning in line with the school’s Teaching and Learning Policy.
• Identify and differentiate for SEN, EAL, G&T and gifted students, ensuring their needs are met.
• Use assessment data and ICT tools to inform planning and enhance student progress.
• Maintain discipline according to the Behaviour for Learning Policy and promote punctuality and high standards.
• Mark student work regularly, set progress targets and keep systematic records.
• Prepare informative reports for parents and support parent‑student events.
• Contribute to curriculum development, produce and review schemes of work.
• Collaborate with speech and language therapists, occupational therapists and educational psychologists as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related subject with PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Proven teaching experience in the English National Curriculum.
• Ability to teach French and Spanish from Year 6 to Year 13 and a clear understanding of the British curriculum.
• Experience teaching across a wide ability range and commitment to continuous professional development.
• Experience in more than one international school is desirable.
