Ecommerce Business Owner

About the role

The Ecommerce Business Owner is a part‑time, hybrid position based in Abu Dhabi, with some flexibility for remote work. You will lead YCAL’s ecommerce operations, turning research‑driven products and services into market‑ready online offerings.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the ecommerce strategy, including store setup and product catalog management.
• Manage online storefronts, coordinate digital marketing campaigns, and create basic content to drive traffic.
• Monitor sales performance, analyse user behaviour and analytics to inform growth decisions.
• Collaborate with research, innovation, and youth‑led teams to ensure ethical, sustainability‑aligned offerings.
• Oversee customer service processes, partner and vendor coordination, and regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• Experience in ecommerce management, order fulfillment and pricing strategy.
• Strong analytical ability to interpret sales data and performance metrics.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English; additional regional languages a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Marketing, Ecommerce or related fields.
• Familiarity with the MENA or African context and social‑enterprise environments is beneficial.
