Electrical Commissioning Engineer

About the role

The Electrical Commissioning Engineer oversees the commissioning and start-up of electrical systems, ensuring that all equipment and systems work as intended, meet client specifications and comply with safety regulations. The role is based in Dubai.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the installation and commissioning of electrical systems and equipment.
• Carry out system functionality testing and performance validation.
• Prepare and review commissioning documentation, procedures and protocols.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues during commissioning.
• Coordinate with vendors, clients and contractors for seamless integration.
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes and safety standards.
• Support final handover and prepare system operation manuals.
• Provide training to operations teams and maintenance personnel.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Certified and registered as a professional engineer.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical commissioning.
• Familiarity with international commissioning standards.
• Experience in oil & gas or industrial projects preferred; UAE/GCC experience is an advantage.
