Plant & Equipment Inspector

About the role

Fisher HR is hiring a Plant & Equipment Inspector in Dubai on a full-time basis. The inspector inspects company vehicles, machinery, tools and operational equipment, verifies assets and checks their maintenance and documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out regular physical inspections of cars, pickups, trucks, generators, welding machines, compressors, heavy equipment and workshop assets, assessing their condition and identifying defects, damage, leaks, excessive wear, misuse or safety concerns.
• Verify asset numbers, serial numbers, chassis numbers, locations and assigned users, confirm the physical existence of assets against company records, and take clear photographs as evidence.
• Review maintenance status, service history and upcoming maintenance needs, check registrations, inspection certificates and maintenance records, and follow up on reported issues and corrective actions.
• Prepare inspection reports with findings, risks and required corrective actions, coordinate with site, maintenance, logistics and operations teams, support asset verification and inventory reconciliation, and escalate significant issues to management.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in plant, fleet, equipment, machinery, maintenance or asset inspection.
• Diploma or technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive, Heavy Equipment, Maintenance or a related field.
• Practical understanding of vehicles, generators, welding machines and construction or industrial equipment, and ability to spot basic mechanical, operational and maintenance defects.
• Strong attention to detail, good reporting and documentation skills, and willingness to travel regularly between sites.
• Valid UAE driving licence preferred.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and asset tracking systems.
