Electrical Commissioning Supervisor – Offshore & Subsea

About the role

Penspen is seeking an experienced Electrical Commissioning Supervisor to lead commissioning activities on offshore oil & gas facilities in Abu Dhabi. The role involves overseeing electrical pre‑commissioning, energisation, testing and hand‑over for Wellhead Towers, subsea pipelines and brownfield modifications.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate electrical commissioning on offshore platforms, Wellhead Towers, subsea cable and pipeline projects.
• Ensure safe execution of pre‑commissioning, commissioning, energisation, start‑up, testing and hand‑over in line with procedures, specifications and HSE requirements.
• Act as the field execution focal point, working closely with commissioning engineers, construction teams, vendors and client representatives.
• Monitor workforce productivity, progress and compliance with quality, HSE and permit‑to‑work standards.
• Report progress, issues and risks to the Commissioning Engineer or Lead and escalate technical matters when required.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in offshore projects, with at least 5 years in electrical commissioning.
• Hands‑on experience with offshore platforms, Wellhead Towers, jackets, topsides and brownfield facilities.
• Previous experience with PMC/EPC environments; ADNOC offshore experience is an advantage.
• Diploma in Electrical/Electronics Engineering from an accredited university.
