Electrical & Instrumentation Helper

About the role

The Helper, E&I supports electricians and instrument technicians on installation and maintenance projects across oil & gas and industrial sites. The role involves hands‑on assistance with cables, instruments, and field devices while ensuring safety and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with cable pulling, dressing, tray installation and conduit works.
• Support installation of junction boxes, isolators, panels, instruments and field devices.
• Handle material loading, unloading, shifting and storage of electrical and instrumentation items.
• Prepare and tag cables, identify routing paths and assist in sensor, transmitter and HVAC instrument installation.
• Perform termination activities under supervision of skilled technicians.
• Carry out basic tasks such as cleaning, cutting, drilling and support installation as instructed.
• Assist during testing, inspection, commissioning and troubleshooting activities.
• Maintain clean, organized and hazard‑free work areas and report any unsafe conditions.

Required profile

• Basic education or technical training preferred.
• Minimum 1–3 years experience as an E&I Helper on oil & gas or industrial projects.
• Familiarity with cables, cable trays, conduits, junction boxes and field instruments.
• Willingness to work in remote locations when required.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely and perform manual work.
• Strong problem‑solving, teamwork and communication abilities.
