Electrical Technician – Aviation Fuel Depots

About the role
The Electrical Technician is responsible for delivering scheduled preventive maintenance and breakdown repairs on static and mobile electrical systems across aviation fuel depots. Working in accordance with aviation standards and manufacturer recommendations, the role ensures all equipment remains safe, reliable, and operational.
Key responsibilities
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on LV/MV/HV panels, fueling systems, motors, pumps, compressors, generators, HVAC, fire detection/alarm control, and process instruments.
- Carry out electrical/electronic modification work as directed, following safety procedures and work standards.
- Test and commission equipment after repairs to verify satisfactory operation.
- Diagnose faults using circuit diagrams, equipment manuals, and troubleshooting tools.
- Visit multiple airport depots (including Zayed Airport) to conduct periodic checks, attend breakdowns, and complete repairs promptly.
- Prepare store requisitions, maintain documentation, and record all maintenance activities in the computer‑based maintenance system.
- Operate inventory management and maintenance software within authorized limits.
- Ensure all work is performed under approved permits to work (PTW) and complies with HSE regulations; report hazards, incidents, and near‑misses immediately.
Required profile
- Willingness to work a 24 × 7 shift rotation as required.
- Ability to follow strict safety procedures and use personal protective equipment.
- Capability to read and interpret circuit diagrams, equipment drawings, and manuals.
- Strong record‑keeping skills and ability to prepare clear maintenance reports.
- Readiness to travel between multiple aviation depots.
