Electrical Technician

About the role

Emirates Electrical & Instrumentation Company LLC, a member of the Ghobash Group, is seeking an Electrical Technician to support its oil & gas projects in Abu Dhabi. The role involves installing, maintaining and troubleshooting electrical and instrumentation systems for power, lighting, control and distribution.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out electrical installation, cable laying, glanding, termination and dressing for power, lighting, control and instrumentation systems.
• Install, maintain and troubleshoot equipment such as motors, generators, transformers, switchgear, MCCs, distribution boards and control panels.
• Install and maintain cable trays, conduits, junction boxes, isolators, sockets and lighting fixtures.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, single‑line diagrams, wiring diagrams and cable schedules.
• Perform electrical tests (continuity, insulation resistance, polarity, earth continuity) using appropriate equipment.
• Assist in testing and commissioning of electrical systems and equipment.
• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance, identify faults and rectify them safely.
• Carry out earthing and bonding installations and work on hazardous‑area equipment following oil & gas standards.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in electrical installation and maintenance, preferably in oil & gas or industrial environments.
• Ability to work safely on site and follow approved drawings, method statements and specifications.
