Electrical Technician

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Technician to join a gas industry company in Dubai. The role involves installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems to ensure safe and reliable operations.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain, inspect, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and components.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on panels, control panels, motors, wiring, and circuits.
• Diagnose faults, troubleshoot, and carry out repairs.
• Assist with installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues and ensure reliability.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, company procedures, and gas‑related regulations.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and report technical issues.
• Coordinate with maintenance and operations teams to minimise downtime.

Required profile

• Diploma or ITI qualification in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Previous experience as an Electrical Technician in gas, oil & gas, industrial or energy sectors.
• Hands‑on experience with electrical panels, wiring, motors, control circuits, and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of electrical testing equipment and maintenance procedures.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Good understanding of electrical and industrial safety practices.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and within a technical team.
• GCC experience is an advantage.
