Electronics Design & PCB Development Engineer

About the role

HardShell FZE is looking for an experienced Electronics Design & PCB Development Engineer to lead the end‑to‑end creation of electronic products. The role covers circuit design, PCB layout, simulation, prototyping, testing and validation for defense and security solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design analog and digital circuits and produce detailed schematics.
• Create multi‑layer PCBs, including high‑speed, RF and power sections.
• Select components, manage placement, routing, grounding, shielding and impedance control.
• Perform signal‑integrity, power‑integrity, thermal and EMI/EMC analyses and optimise designs.
• Generate manufacturing documentation such as BOMs, Gerber files, drill files and stack‑up details.
• Support prototype bring‑up, debugging, testing, validation and failure analysis.
• Collaborate with mechanical, firmware, manufacturing, PCB fabrication and SMT assembly teams.
• Maintain accurate design records and participate in design reviews.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in electronics, electrical engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in electronics and PCB design.
• Strong knowledge of analog and digital circuit design.
• Hands‑on experience with Altium Designer, KiCad or Eagle.
• Understanding of high‑speed PCB design, signal integrity, EMI/EMC and thermal management.
• Familiarity with PCB fabrication and SMT manufacturing processes.
• Experience with simulation tools such as LTspice, HyperLynx or Ansys.
