Emergency Medicine Specialist (UAE National)

About the role

The Abu Dhabi Region is seeking a qualified Emergency Medicine Specialist who is a UAE national. The role involves delivering high‑quality emergency care, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and contributing to clinical excellence within a leading healthcare facility.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, obtain histories, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Prescribe and administer medications, perform emergency procedures and surgeries as required.
• Collaborate with other specialists, departments, and support services to ensure integrated patient care.
• Document clinical information accurately and timely in compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
• Participate in quality‑improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and research activities.
• Supervise, mentor, and educate junior medical staff, residents, and students.
• Communicate effectively with patients and families, obtaining informed consent for procedures.
• Adhere to hospital policies, DOH regulations, occupational health and safety, and infection‑control protocols.

Required profile

• MBBS or equivalent degree from a recognized medical school.
• Completed residency or fellowship in Emergency Medicine.
• Minimum 2–3 years of post‑specialization clinical experience.
• Valid DOH Abu Dhabi license or eligibility letter, plus current license from last place of practice.
• Certificate of Good Standing from the relevant licensing authority.
• Successful completion of the DOH licensing exam.
• Fluency in English and Arabic.
