Engagement Manager – Strategy Consulting (TMT)

About the role

As an Engagement Manager at FTI Consulting you will dive into complex business environments, delivering high‑impact strategic recommendations and driving implementation for clients in the Telecom, Media and Technology sectors. You will manage individual project modules, apply commercial acumen to structure analyses, and coach junior staff throughout the engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Manage modules of client‑billable projects, conduct data gathering, analysis and translate findings into strategic and operational recommendations.
• Build complex financial, operational or market models using Excel and advanced financial modeling techniques.
• Lead and mentor junior consultants, providing formal coaching, feedback and development support.
• Communicate insights and recommendations to senior leadership and clients, and present deliverables with limited supervision.
• Support senior managing directors with commercial activities such as developing intellectual capital, client pitches and proposals.
• Oversee small module teams, prioritize tasks, allocate resources and ensure timely delivery under challenging conditions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics or a related field.
• Proven experience in a professional services or consulting firm, preferably with exposure to Telecom, Media & Technology sectors.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, capable of working independently under pressure.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience coaching and mentoring junior staff.
