Engineering General Technician – Hotel Maintenance

About the role

We are seeking an Engineering General Technician to join the pre‑opening team at Crowne Plaza Dubai Marina. The role involves providing efficient maintenance support across the hotel to ensure all equipment, facilities and systems operate safely and comfortably for guests and colleagues.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance works in guest rooms, public areas, back‑of‑house areas and other hotel facilities.
• Attend to maintenance requests, breakdowns and repairs in a timely and professional manner.
• Perform general maintenance duties including basic electrical, plumbing, mechanical, carpentry and painting works as required.
• Inspect equipment and facilities regularly and report any defects or potential safety concerns to the Engineering Supervisor or Chief Engineer.
• Ensure that all tools, equipment and work areas are properly maintained, organized and kept in safe working condition.
• Follow all hotel safety procedures, engineering standards and preventive maintenance schedules to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the property.

Required profile

• Hands‑on technician able to work independently and as part of the Engineering team.
• Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role in a 5‑star hotel.
• Good knowledge of general hotel maintenance; basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, carpentry and painting works.
• Strong understanding of health and safety procedures.
• High organization skill, highly motivated, able to respond efficiently to maintenance requests; good communication and troubleshooting skills.
• Exposure to hotel opening is an advantage.
