Hostess / Receptionist – Restaurant Front‑Desk

About the role

The Hostess/Receptionist will be the first point of contact for guests, ensuring they receive a warm welcome and clear information about the restaurant’s concept, menu and promotions. You will manage reservations, handle guest inquiries, and support the floor team to create a seamless dining experience.

Key responsibilities

• Explain the outlet’s concept, menu items and promotions to guests verbally.
• Take and confirm reservations via phone, email, online platforms and in‑person, updating the reservation system accurately.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date table count, adjust seating plans with management, and reinstate available tables promptly.
• Perform billing tasks according to restaurant standards when required.
• Ensure public areas, including bathrooms, remain clean and report any issues.
• Assist with service duties such as order taking, clearing tables, and serving food when needed.

Required profile

• High school qualification or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years experience as a hostess in a high‑volume restaurant.
• Strong ability to understand guest needs and deliver superior customer service.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.

Required skills

• Familiarity with Table Management System procedures.
• Basic computer proficiency, including MS Office.
