English (EAL) Teacher – Abu Dhabi

About the role

Aldar Education is seeking an English (EAL) Teacher to join its growing network of schools in Abu Dhabi starting August 2027. The role focuses on delivering inclusive, high‑quality English language instruction to a diverse student body.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess English lessons aligned with the UK National Curriculum and EAL standards.
• Identify and support SEN (POD), EAL and gifted & talented students through differentiated instruction.
• Utilise assessment data and performance indicators to inform lesson planning and track student progress.
• Incorporate ICT tools to enhance learning experiences and outcomes.
• Maintain classroom discipline in line with the school’s Behaviour for Learning Policy.
• Record and report student progress regularly, preparing informative parent communications.
• Collaborate with specialists such as speech therapists, occupational therapists and educational psychologists when required.
• Contribute to curriculum development, reviewing and updating schemes of work.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field with PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Proven teaching experience in the English National Curriculum, across a range of ages.
• Ability to work under pressure, solve problems and demonstrate resilience.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and experience in international school settings is desirable.
