English Teacher - August 2027 Start

About the role

Aldar Education, a family of schools in the United Arab Emirates, is looking for an English teacher to join its growing network of schools, starting in August 2027. The school offers a range of curricula and serves students from nursery through adult education. The post is full-time and based in Abu Dhabi.

Key responsibilities

• Plan teaching and learning in line with the school's Teaching and Learning Policy, setting clear objectives and targets and differentiating for SEN, EAL and G&T students
• Structure lessons and learning activities, use assessment for learning and performance data, and make effective use of ICT
• Maintain discipline according to the Behaviour for Learning Policy and mark students' work regularly, setting targets for progress
• Assess and record student progress, carry out assessments requested by examination bodies, and prepare reports for parents
• Attend and support parent and student events, and take part in subject development by producing, reviewing and updating curriculum plans and schemes of work
• Meet with professionals such as speech and language therapists, occupational therapists and educational psychologists when needed, and perform any other duties assigned by the SLT

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Education or a related subject with a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification
• Teaching experience in the English National Curriculum
• Ability to teach across the age range, work under pressure, solve problems and be resilient
• Commitment to continuing professional development (CPD)
• Experience in more than one international school is desirable
