Equine Surgeon (Board Certified ACVS/ECVS)

About the role

Dubai Equine Hospital is seeking an experienced board-certified (ACVS/ECVS) equine surgeon to join its team in Dubai. The hospital sits in the heart of the equine industry in the UAE, with a caseload made up mainly of racing Thoroughbreds and Arabian endurance horses. It is well equipped with general and orthopaedic theatres and a standing surgery suite.

Key responsibilities

• Perform elective surgeries typical of horses in training, such as orthopaedic procedures.
• Handle a large emergency caseload of colics, fractures and ophthalmic surgeries.
• Work alongside two full-time surgeons (ACVS/ECVS) and an ACVIM diplomate, within a team that also includes a full-time orthopaedic clinician, six interns and two anaesthesia technicians.

Required profile

• Board certification as ACVS or ECVS.
• Experience as an equine surgeon.

What we offer

• A remuneration package commensurate with experience.
• The position is available for an immediate start; initially a locum position can be considered, with a long-term position open to the right candidate.
• An alternative option is a locum position starting immediately until 3 April 2026, including coverage of the Dubai World Cup.
