Estimator - Interior Fit-Out & Joinery

About the role

Juma Al Majid Holding Group L.L.C. is hiring a full-time Estimator for interior fit-out and joinery projects in Dubai. The role prepares accurate cost estimates, tender submissions and commercial proposals, and supports the pre-contract team in securing profitable projects while meeting project specifications and client requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, BOQs and contract requirements.
• Perform detailed quantity take-offs for architectural, fit-out, joinery, finishing and MEP works.
• Prepare cost estimates, budgets and tender pricing for commercial, residential, hospitality, retail and office fit-outs.
• Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and cost breakdowns.
• Obtain supplier and subcontractor quotations, evaluate offers and negotiate pricing.
• Analyse project risks, exclusions and assumptions, and recommend value engineering solutions.
• Coordinate with design, procurement, technical and project teams during tender, attend site visits, pre-bid and clarification meetings.
• Prepare tender submissions, commercial proposals, bid documents and supporting schedules.
• Maintain cost databases, supplier pricing and historical project cost records; assist with budgets and feasibility studies.
• Support contract negotiations, post-tender clarifications and project handover meetings.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or a related discipline.
• Minimum 4-7 years of experience estimating interior fit-out projects in the UAE/GCC.
• Experience in turnkey fit-out, joinery and refurbishment preferred.
• Strong knowledge of fit-out construction methods, materials and finishes.

Required skills

• Quantity take-offs, BOQ preparation and cost estimation.
• Reading architectural, structural, MEP and shop drawings.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
