Event Director – West & North Africa (Arabic Speaker)

About the role

The Event Director will lead and grow the construction‑focused event portfolio across Nigeria and Egypt, delivering commercial growth and market leadership. Full P&L responsibility and strategic oversight of sales, marketing, content and operations are required.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute multi‑year event strategies, aligning with market insights and the event delivery playbook.
• Own full financial performance, including revenue delivery, cost control, budgeting and forecasting.
• Lead sales and sponsorship activities, working with local and international teams to meet revenue targets.
• Build and manage strategic relationships with governments, industry associations and key partners.
• Adapt event branding and marketing to local market needs, driving audience growth and exhibitor retention.
• Oversee operational preparations to ensure high‑quality delivery and customer satisfaction.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Events or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in exhibitions/events with portfolio leadership.
• Proven full P&L management and multi‑channel sales experience.
• Experience in multi‑market environments, preferably Africa/Middle East.

Required skills

• Strong commercial and strategic acumen.
• Ability to manage stakeholder ecosystems and lead cross‑functional teams.
• Proficiency with Salesforce for sales reporting.
